The burger was very good. The fries were soggy and gross! As I was waiting for my food, I was reading a paper that they have in their window bragging about the freshness of their food. They are actually proud of those crappy fries. "Fresh cut", "never frozen", "no preservatives"... Blah blah blah. Will people please stop acting like freezing something is so bad. Of course sometimes you don't want something that's been frozen, but this is not the case with fries. The best fries in the world come from places that have frozen precut fries. And places like this and In n Out in California have far inferior fries, even though they're "fresh-cut". I've said it before, but it bears repeating: the only fries that I've had that give "fresh" McDonalds fries a run for their money, is "fresh" Red Robin fries and both places serve fries that were frozen before they were cooked. I put "fresh" in quotes, because I can't believe how often I order fries that seems to have been sitting for ten minutes before they get to me. I hate that! If I ever own a burger joint, I hereby swear I will never serve fries that are over 1 minute old. By the way... I don't believe that was the case here. Roger's fries were hot and fresh--they just suck! I'll definitely be back for the burger, but I will not pay for those fries again.

Best burger I've had in a long time. Fries are okay, they are kinda like In and Out's fries.. so they can be a little limp.

Referred to this place after expressing my disappointment with Hudson's burger place. Was told that Roger's is much better and they were right! Burgers had much more flavor and buns were nicely toasted. The fries were pretty bad this time which may not always be the case. but the reason this is 4 stars instead of 5. The dipping sauce was good.and wish I would have discovered it sooner so I could have tried the shakes/malts before leaving town. Will be back!

I'm from California originally and I get nostalgic everytime I come here. It tastes just like In-n-Out but it's made with love. Come and enjoy it!! We always do!

This spot is tasty and consistent, for what it is...fast food. Do they have the best burgers and fries in the world? No, this is 'fast food'. However, are they are at the top of their game in the CDA fast food circuit? Yes. Just a very good, consistent place to go for a delicious fast food-style burger, fries and ice cream.

Huckleberry ice cream was delicious! Only complaint I have is that I did not hear my name the first time they called it, and the staff made no effort to call it again. By the time I realized it, it was a bit melty and they did not offer a fix. I would definitely come back though!

I came here a few years ago with my family and friends. The burgers, fries, and milkshakes were excellent and fresh. THIS TIME! I swear the fries they gave had to be at least half a day old! unbelievable how bad these fries were! I've had bad french fries, but these were by far the worst my friend and I both say we've ever had. The burger was supposed to have a "special" sauce which used to be kind of like a french dressing; Mayo. Straight mayo. The lettuce, tomato, onion used to be fresh and crisp. Not anymore. I'm not sure there was lettuce and the tomato was mush. I'm told there is a new owner of Rogers. Clearly they didn't feel the need to keep with the tradition of quality.

My go to place whenever I'm in Coeur D'Alene! LOVE this place! Yummy burgers, fries, and ice cream for very reasonable prices! :)

It was ok, but I expected better. Fries were really burned and they messed up our order. Had to order a new cheeseburger, it wasn't too busy and the staff was nice so it wasn't a big deal. Burger was ok. Just ok, nothing special.

Rodgers is a really awesome place to get a burger. The fries are awesome too! In the summer they get very busy, so be prepared for a wait, but it is worth it.

Roger's burgers are the best in Coeur d'Alene, and they've got quite a wide variety of things...they have a veggie burger I've been told is top shelf. Their ice cream is also very good. The place is tiny so they have to be buying it, but they're getting really good product. Now let's talk about the fries...the reason they're getting three stars from me rather than four. You get this lump of dark-brown limp...THINGS...when you order fries at Roger's. It's obviously on purpose because the Roger's on Neider cooks 'em the same way.

Restaurant needs a manager. Tonight was a disaster. If there is a line don't order: walk away. Waited patiently for 35 mins for 4 cones before asking to check on the order. 15 minutes later, when there was no line, we asked again about the ice cream and the order was lost.Told them our order again. They didn't write it down. We had been waited for 50 mins now and still no one was working on it so we gave up and got a refund. Same thing happened to three different groups of about 15 people. They all wanted a refund too. Poor kids who didn't get their ice cream. Overrated.

Thoght that i would try this place and it is delicious. Fries were almost perfect. The burgers are very tasty and the sauce that they use on it is delicious. Customer service is great had a problem and they fixed it right away. Best little burger stand i have stopped by in a long time. They are definitely worth coming back to.

Stopped here because of the Yelp reviews while traveling through on the interstate. As the other reviews stated only outside eating area. The burgers and fries were great and the Huckleberry Milkshake outstanding. It is not difficult to get to off the interstate and definitely worth the exit if you are looking for a good burger, fry, and shake.

Outdoor seating only and walk up window. Their burgers are yummy and they give you a large portion of fries but the fries were a little too well cooked, stringy and under seasoned. Friendly staff. We didn't get to try their ice cream but people were stopping by just for the ice cream.

Always a CDA favorite. Great Burgers, Fries & ice cream. I'm never disappointed! It puts a simple life back to mind with the old school feel.

Simple good burgers and fries. The fries seemed a little burnt/ over cooked in the oil. But I was hungry and they were still pretty good. The got my Husbands burger right too. He's a picky eater, and wants nothing on his burger but ketchup. You would be surprised how many burger places mess that up. So the food was good, I was worried though, when I asked the girl at the cash register with her hair down (not tried back) what kind of cheese do they put on their burger. I saw her ask 3 people before someone could answer American (yuk!) Also while eating our burgers, we could see the women making milkshakes at the window. I watched closely at this point when I saw her take a spoon full of peanut butter and scraped the butter into the shake with her fingers. She licked her fingers clean, and without stopping to wash her hands, continue to make the milkshakes. I bet this kind of thing happens at every restaurant, you just don't want to see it.

Best ice cream in town! My family come year after year for fantastic service and delicious desserts :)

Greasy and delicious. Literally the to-go bag looks like it is soaked in grease prior to food being put in it. Seriously though the burg's are good, not gourmet by any means but if your looking for some good eats, go here. Call your order in so you don't have to wait. MONEY.

What a great place to have ice cream and it was yummy too. You can tell that generations come to this place. Make sure you try to stop if you are in town.

I was in Coeur d'alene for the Ironman. Immediately after the race, we sent our support crew to Roger's for milkshakes, fries, and burgers. Now first of all, I was shocked - shocked that I was able to get a turkey burger at 11pm. Second, I had been craving a chocolate malt for the last 13 miles of the race. My chocolate malt expectations were pretty high. After our support crew arrived home with burgers, milkshakes, and fries; we descended upon the take-out bags like a pack of ravenous wolves. The burgers and fries didn't last 5 minutes. They never even stood a chance. It may have been the starvation talking, but that turkey burger was the best turkey burger that I've ever had - not really. But at 11 pm after finishing an Ironman, it was pretty satisfying. Now onto the chocolate malt. Not only did Roger's make me the PERFECT chocolate malt - lot's of malt, real ice cream, not too creamy, not too icy - but the malt was so big it lasted for 3 days. 3 DAYS. I have been known to finish a malt in 3 minutes, but this malt was so big and so filling that it took me 3 days to finish.

Best burger on Sherman! Love their burgers, love their fries, love their shakes, great waffle cones! Its a great place to go and avoid the lines at the pie/ burger place downtown. And the burger is better! Only complaint here is the outside ordering and seating. They have covered the picnic tables so bad weather doesnt get you, but it can still be an issue in the cold of winter. Hopefully this place does so well that they can solve the problem with a better dining area one day. You park on the street, and during the summer its awesome to just hang out on Sherman and enjoy the yummy burgers and shakes.

Fries soggy and burger average. Much better other places in CDA.

Great place to get a burger in town! Delicious burger, amazing selection of ice cream, and a heating rent during the winter! Definitely going back again.

Roger's used to be amazing. I used to go here all the time way back when they first moved to this location from their spot on 4th street in what is now Java. (I just dated myself pretty badly.) They had amazing burgers that were a very near rival to the vaunted In 'N Out burger. Their ice cream had no comparison, it was almost unreal how delicious it was. Then several years ago they were bought out by someone else. Suddenly the delicious burgers were these nasty, greasy piles on buns, slathered in tartar sauce. Who in their right mind puts tartar sauce on a hamburger?!? It is absolutely revolting, especially when you don't know it's there because they don't bother to post that on the menu. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the ice cream is still very good. During the summer I will still stop by and get a waffle cone, but the burgers are just gross now. It really bums me out considering how good they used to be.

Average food at best, and terribly rude 'service'. I don't want to argue about the missing pickles on my burger, and no you may not finger through it to check. Just give me the 15 cent pickles I paid for. Also, they put tartar sauce (gag) on their burgers and don't mention it on the menu. All around bad experience and I will not be going back.

Fries were burnt and soggy. Both of the last times I went. I hope I can update an "Update" next time with better fries! You can do it, Rogers!

The go-to place for ice cream, shakes and malts in Coeur D' Alene! We ate here twice in 2 weeks. The fries have a distinct burnt color but are mushy which is a weird combo. However the fry sauce saves the day. The burgers are TINY. Be prepared for a thin-as-paper patty. The Caribou shake (add hot fudge) is AMAZING.

Great place. Local and great food. The burger's were superb and fries perfect. Ice cream shakes and selection are also sublime. Highly recommend for a local stop.

    - Just got back from my trip to CDA and unfortunately, it looks like Roger's Ice Cream is for sale. Someone buy this place and get it ready for next summer! - Although I've never had a burger (sorry, I'm a Hudson's die hard), I do get my favorite ice crea

Skip the burgers, they are good, but compared to the to die for fries and milkshakes they just take up space in your stomach. We ate here every day while in Couer d'Alene and it's just a few blocks off the Ironman course, so it's great for spectators too!

Roger's has wonderful ice cream! I have yet to try any of their food - but will be sure to if the weather ever heats up this summer.

Previously we loved Roger's. The drive up atmosphere is great in the summer. The burgers were very good when the new owner took over but quality has steadily declined in the last 2 years. We've gone back 3 times to make sure we hadn't just gotten them on a bad day. It's obvious that they're now pre-cooking the burgers and then heating them to order, still coming out cold and cheese barely melted, this occured 3 times. The quality of the beef is in question as well, with lots of gristle. Too bad, we loved this place.
